How do I set up the email notifications?

To set up a globally applied email notification for receiving a new task on your environment is as easy as 1, 2, 3.

First of all you need to access the notifications tab within the Admin module. Here you will find Email Template HTML editor that will help you get things going.

What is an HTML editor?

An HTML editor is a specialized piece of software that assists in the creation of HTML code. Similar to text editors such as Notepad, HTML editors allow you to enter raw text.

Most (if not all) professional web developers use an HTML editor to create and maintain their websites. This is because a good HTML editor can boost productivity enormously.

The main difference between an HTML editor and a simple text editor, is that the HTML editor has more functionality - functionality that assists you in creating your content quickly and easily.

While it's true that you can code HTML using a basic text editor, an HTML editor will make your life much easier.

So anyway, how do I use the HTML Editor in the Aurachain Platform?

Don't worry, we have everything already set up for you.

The email template of the globally applied notifications has a default version covering the most important variables, of course, in our opinion. Task Name, Process Name, Assigned user and Creation Date are just a few of the details that are already filled in for you.

If you want to modify the default template to better suit your business needs you will just have to replace the variables set by us, with the ones that make more sense to your business plan.  This rule applies for both the Subject and Body of the email.

For example in the picture below we highlighted two variables. One that will automatically show you as a final result in the email assignee name and one that will display the task subject as set up in Diagrams.

The two highlighted variables can be easily replaced just by pasting your desired one's.

To modify the subject information it is even easier. Just type in what you want your users to see when the receive the email for a new generated task. You can also can add any system variables that better suit your business needs. It's that easy.

After you finished just hit   and your globally applied email notification is good to go.

If you change your mind (before hitting save) and you don't want your changes to take effect all you need to do is to refresh the Notifications page.

In the end when a user receives an email according to which he was assigned a new task, the email will look like this:
